AI Won’t Save Us: Unthinking Tools versus Human Judgement

open

AI is useful for cybersecurity, but hardly a silver bullet. Bots can be outsmarted by creative attackers and overridden by human operators, which is why social engineering remains the criminal’s tactic of choice. Despite these deficiencies, there is considerable hype around the subject. As a counterbalance, this presentation provides a critical perspective on AI, teaching attendants the limitations of machine tools, why human creativity is still a powerful force in an automated world, and how to promote a security culture within their organisations.
