European Cyber Security Month is the EU’s annual awareness campaign that takes place each October across Europe. The aim is to raise awareness of cyber security threats, promote cyber security among citizens and organisations; and provide resources to protect themselves online, through education and sharing of good practices.
The Hague has established itself as a major hub for cyber security in Europe, which is demonstrated by the presence of the European Cybercrime Centre Europol (EC3), the National Cyber Security Centre, NATO Communications and Information Agency, Cyber Security Academy, and a wide range of cyber security businesses.
The city is also home to The Hague Security Delta, the leading security cluster in Europe, in which security businesses, governments, and knowledge institutions work together on innovations and knowledge development.
