The Future Autonomy of Cybersecurity

According to the Ponemon Institute, an independent research organization specializing on privacy, data protection, and information security, organizations spend, on average, nearly 21,000 hours each year analyzing false negatives and/or false positives. When it comes to the all-important serious alerts, Enterprise Management Associates, an IT & Data Management Research and Industry Analysis organization, reported that 80% of the organizations receiving 500 or more severe/critical alerts per day are only able to investigate 11 to 25 of these alerts per day. The missed alerts allow the adversary to survive within the enterprise for an average of 107 days.
